This is for an A3, charcoal drawing on Fine Art paper.
The portrait will be of a single subject.
A 40% deposit will be required before work commences.
It will also include a DVD with the best photographic portraits from the original photo session.
Framing can be arranged separately.
After receiving your enquiry we will have an initial discussion about the person to be drawn and arrange a time and a place to meet.
I work from photographs taking about 200 in a session which lasts for approximately an hour. I guarantee that even people who dislike having their photograph taken (and that’s nearly everyone) will enjoy the session. It will feel relaxed and informal. I take a lot of photographs so that the person starts to relax and lose any self-consciousness and I start to recognise recurring expressions. I want to capture the character and spirit of the person whether it’s a child or an adult.
The finished painting will be in oil paint on streched canvas, ready to hang on the wall. It can be any size.

After the initial enquiry we arrange to meet to discuss the details of the portrait. This may include a discussion on what to wear the size of the portrait and any other questions or preferences you may have.
There may be more than one photo shoot to incorporate different lighting. These sessions will be fun and informal and I guarantee there will be some wonderful photographs. I then make preliminary drawings before starting the painting.
The photographs can be taken in my studio,
in your home and garden or at any other convinient venue.
